Tampak Siring is also known as Tirtha Empul, is a holy springs water temple located in a valley between two hills with big springs and sacred in village Manukaya in central Bali.



This temple has 12 sacred flows supplied continually from underground streams, is believed to eliminate all kind of diseases including adverse effect in the human life, purify the soul and mind.


The Tirta Empul Temple includes the traditional Balinese split gate along with shrines to Shiva, Vishnu, Braham, Mt. Batur, and Indra. In the inner courtyard of the temple is a long rectangular pool carved of stone, filled with 12 fountains.

People often going to the temple Tirtha Empul to pray to bless on the first and fifteenth day every month in lunar calendar, women often wear a beautiful ceremony tray on the head and walk up to the temple to celebrate Mass at the main Cathedral area.

Worshipers will first make an offering at the main temple then climb into the main pool to bathe and pray. Many collect the holy water in bottles to take home.

 Tirtha Empul is also a national cultural heritage site.
